Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to make a donation to be able
to submit a service member's name and APO Address for a Christmas box?
A: No, the service member needs to be in Iraq or Afghanistan at
Christmas.
Q: How do I submit a name and APO address?
A: There are several ways. First, you can use the "APO Address"
navigation button on the left side of this page. Second, you may
e-mail us an address by going to the "Contact Us" navigation button on
the left side of this page (e-mail address instructions are at the
bottom of the page). Third, you may fax us an address by going to
the "Contact Us" navigation button on the left side of this page
(several fax numbers are listed).
Q: How do I donate items for the boxes?
A: First, go the the "Donated Items List" navigation button on the left
side of this page and download the Suggested Donation Items List (please
note the sizes - we cannot use family sizes). Second, go to the
"Drop-off Locations" navigation button on the left side of this page.
There is a CFOT box at each location. If a location is not near
you and you want to setup a box go to the "Contact Us" navigation button
on the left side of this page and send us an e-mail requesting a box.
Q: If no donation boxes are near me, can I
make a monitary donation?
A: Yes, you can make a donation (via credit card) by going to the "Make
a Donation" navigation button on the left side of this page (we use
PayPal). Besure to provide an e-mail address so we can contact you
for a mailing address. You will receive a letter from CFOT
regarding your donation (meets IRS requirements). If you would
like to send us a check go to the "Contact Us" navigation button on the
left side of this page for an address.
Q: How much of my donation will go to
administrative cost?
A: NONE. We have no paid staff. Volunteers do all the work.
We do have mailing costs and we purchase special items along with items
which we have a shortage.
